Your Resolution Starts with YOU

I hope you had a few days of being unplugged. Of a slower, more peaceful, connected, decadent, playful pace.
And now it’s Monday January 4th and we’re back at it. Holidays are over. The emails are streaming back into your inbox. If you’re a parent, you’re also juggling your kids learning from home.
There is suddenly so much to balance again. And if you’ve made a resolution, you’re also balancing the hope of a new habit; a healthier, happier you.
It’s going to be so easy today to push your goals, your hopes, YOU down the list of priorities. To decide it’s okay to wait. Until the kids are back in school. Until your new coworker has settled in. Until your partner finishes an important proposal. Until the grocery shopping is done and the toilets are cleaned.
Resist these temptations. Resolve to make yourself a priority. Every. Single. Day. Be it 5 minutes or 50. You deserve it. And so do the people and the work you often prioritize.
YOU are better when you take care of you. As you gain more energy, confidence, balance, sense of fulfillment, strength, stamina… As YOU gain and earn these things, you are – immediately and powerfully – better. A better you, AND a better parent, caregiver, boss, mentor, friend, cook, listener, delegator… Yep. YOU taking care of YOU means those who count on you will benefit in spades.
It’s a twisted way of making yourself a priority. And often – it works 😊
It’s tough to create change. We’ve been talking about it a lot leading up to January and are going to continue to layer in tips, motivations, and strategies. Whatever your resolution might be, we’re here to help you along the way!

That’s why we’re sharing one of Meg’s incredible back-to-back workouts. You can fit in a quick triple set between Zoom calls, during your lunch break, or while the kids are doing some online learning. If you have a little extra time? Add in a bonus set!

We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but many of us tossed our healthy morning habits out the window in 2020. Enough of that! Start your day off right with this protein-packed healthy breakfast smoothie. Filled with fruit, oats, protein powder, almond milk, and a little hit of peanut butter. This smoothie will keep you feeling satisfied until lunch.
- 1 medium fresh or frozen banana (frozen for thicker consistency)
- 1 cup frozen berries of your choice
- 2 tbsp rolled oats
- 1/4 cup vanilla protein powder
- 1 tbsp all-natural creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup plain unsweetened almond milk
- Place everything into a high-speed blender.
- Blend on high, stopping to scrape the sides as needed, until smooth.
- Serve immediately!
